Q. Why
should I hire a Videographer?
A. For many families,
weddings are one of the few events where both the bride and groom’s entire
family will be together at one time. We encourage you to archive this
event with motion picture and sound. A DVD of this once in a
lifetime gathering will be treasured by you and your family, and be
absolutely priceless for future generations.
Q. Is Videography better
than photography?
A. No. Though they
are related mediums, photography and video will achieve different results,
neither more valuable than the other. Photography is an essential part of
any wedding and we would never encourage you to not include it as a part of
yours. We do encourage you to book a Videographer for your wedding as well
as a photographer to fully archive this day. With Videography you can
relive this day again and again with the sights, sounds, smiles and laughter
all captured picture perfect.
Q. Can’t I just get a friend or
family member to videotape for me?
A. You certainly can, but
without a professional Videographer you may find yourself missing some of
the most important events, not being able to hear voices and speeches, and
only be able to view your wedding on a tape. Also, you want all your
guests to be a part of your wedding and not have the worry or pressure of
constantly having to video everything and not being able to participate in
all the fun. 2 Eternal will take care of all your video needs and
ensure that each important aspect of your wedding is captured and preserved
on an easy to view DVD. If you do choose to have relative tape the
wedding, we can then take that footage and create a wedding movie for you.

Q. How far in advance should I
book?
A. Many Professional
Videographers book popular dates as much as a year or more in advance. Our
suggestion would be to book as far in advance as possible to ensure that you
date is secured and to give us the needed pre-production time based on your
package.
Q. What's involved in creating my
wedding movie?
A. A lot of hard work goes into creating your
wedding movie. The first step is coordinating with the bride and groom the
various details involved in your package. We will usually scout out your
locations beforehand to have a better idea of how to setup and get the best
shots and sound. Next, we will shoot any necessary pre-wedding footage for
your "love story", rehearsal, and/or rehearsal dinner. Then comes the big
day, which is devoted all to you. We never book more than one event on a
single day so you get the attention you deserve. After the big day we will
then upload all the footage into our computers for editing. However many
hours we shot is how many hours it takes to upload, then a few more hours to
organize it all. After that comes the longest part. We carefully go
over every minute of footage to choose the best shots for your highlights video.
After that is created, we then edit and compile your entire wedding into a DVD,
complete with music, menus, titles and covers. This can all take dozens of
hours over the next several days. If you opted to include a photo montage,
we would then collect your honeymoon or wedding photos and build your montage
video and add that to the DVD. Once everything is complete we deliver the
DVDs directly to you.
Q. How long will it take for us
to receive our wedding video after the ceremony?
A. The editing process
frequently takes many hours of work to create a finished wedding video that
is beautiful and will be treasured by you and your family. The average
turnaround time is about 3 weeks, and may be slightly longer if you are
adding honeymoon photos or footage that we do not have access to until you
return.
Q. Will the DVDs play in my
player?
A. The DVD+Rs that we use are
compatible with 98-99% of the new model DVD players on the market now. You
may have a problem with some of the basic or first generation models. 2
Eternal guarantees our DVDs will play in your DVD player, or we will buy you
a new DVD player!!!
Q. What
kind of equipment do you use?
A. We utilize a Canon XL2
3-CCD MiniDV Camcorder as well as a Canon XL1 3-CCD MiniDV Camcorder and edit with Final Cut Pro Software.
Q. Why do you not use HD?
A. Right now, the HD or high definition format is
still fairly new. In order for something to be seen as true HD there are
several steps. First the event must be shot with HD equipment, which, for
high quality cameras, can cost several thousand dollars each. Then the
computer equipment used must also have HD capabilities, including HD monitors,
HD supporting software, and HD DVD burners. Then, in order for you to view
the actual HD DVD you would need to purchase an HD DVD player and of course have
that hooked up to an HD television. Blu-ray seems to be the winning format
for High Definition (there was a betamax/vhs like battle going on for a few
years until recently) so many people are stuck with equipment that is no longer
being supported or were waiting to buy an HD player. High definition is
just too cost prohibitive at the moment, and we would not want to pass those
costs onto you. It will still be quite awhile before HD becomes the norm,
but 2 Eternal plans on moving to HD in the future.
