9 Things to remember about DVD conversions. 1. DVDs are easier to secure. 2. DVDs take up significantly less storage space. 3. The quality will not improve over the quality of your tape. 4. The quality of the DVD will not degrade as rapidly as a tape. 5. If your tape has a wavy line, the DVD will have that wavy line. 6. Tapes recorded in 6 hour mode will never have the quality of a tape recorded in SP or 2 hour mode. 7. Dropped frames by the DVD conversion will occur if the tape quality is poor. 8. Always make the DVD from the Master or Original tape, not a copy. 9. You will be happy you had it done.
